AEI welcomed Coventry Welsh II to their Hillmorton Road ground for a Warwickshire League 3 match that in the past has always been a hotly contested battle this game was to be no different.
The game started at a tremendous pace with both teams enjoying the favourable weather conditions for an expansive game.
AEI scored first through a fantastic forwards work by Kyle Bowden last weeks man of the match, Sam Downs (Captain) and Sean Fletcher resulting in the first try of the game grounded by Prop Joel Bale.
Bullocking runs from Prop Deane Mayfield for the 2nd week running kept AEI on the front foot and ensured the visitors could not settle.
Once again the hosts pack dominated the scrums and in the tight that provided the Backs with a steady platform to exploit the visitors lines.
AEI continued to apply pressure and the backs kept zipping the ball around soon had more points on the board from winger Harry Valentine.
Two tries from Dan Curtis and a further two from Harry Valentine to complete his hatrick and final try from Adam Franklin confirmed that AEI are playing Rugby above the level they currently find themselves in.
Rob Bollen converted four conversions and Dan Curtis converted one of his own tries.
Special mention to Sam Downs for his inspirational leadership on the pitch in his first run out as Captain. Man of the match could be awarded to any of the starting 15 and our 8 replacements who all played an active role in the game, special mention for Joel Bale, Dan Curtis, Paul Eaton, Kyle Bowden but after much debate Man of the Match was awarded to Harry Valentine.
