AEI (Rugby) RFC like to play a good game of Rugby but look forward to the social aspect of Rugby playing bar games, singing, watching rugby on the big screen with our team mates, and reminiscing on times gone by.  Most months we have a ‘#AEIGathering’ to encourage supporters and players past and present to remain involved in the club, check our facebook page and/or fixtures list for our next #AEIGathering.  We also gather for most Rugby Internationals to support our nation of choice.  AEI (Rugby) RFC go on tour each year in March/April in recent years AEI have been to the Netherlands and Belgium, Amsterdam we are currently planning our 2019 tour to Ghent, Belgium.

Still time to sponsor Steve – he Braved the Shave on Saturday 8th September – go to https://bravetheshave.macmillan.org.uk/shavers/steve-oxberry

A message from Steve Oxberry:

In September Macmillan run their coffee morning to raise funds to battle Cancer. I think everyone will be affected by cancer sometime during their life. If not directly then by it affecting a family member or a close friend. Since I don’t bake very well and I only share an office with a couple of people I decided to do something else. The marathon was an option but dodgy knees and a big fat belly sort of ruled that one out. So I have decided to Brave the Shave. Yes that’s right I’m going to shave my head on September 8th at the AEI Rugby Club BBQ. So I am asking for some help in the form of sponsorship. Anyone who is down with the technology can use this link.  https://bravetheshave.macmillan.org.uk/shavers/steve-oxberry
Otherwise I will be at the Rugby club with a paper form or you can just text or message me.   Thanking you all in advance

Calling all AEI (RUGBY) RFC ‘Old Boys’

Having enjoyed a very successful Centenary Dinner where many distinguished ex-players had the opportunity to mingle with ex-teamates as well as the current crop of players, the AEI would like to invite you to consider becoming a vice-president of the AEI.

The position would require a small annual fee to the club for the privilege of being a vice-president which would enable the club to continue to thrive and hopefully expand in the future. We would also like to instigate a Vice-Presidents Day in the same vein as other clubs, one where players past and present can swap stories and anecdotes as well as providing the opportunity of passing on your accumulated wisdom.

At present we are looking to see if there is the level of interest out there, so if you would like to be one of the first vice-presidents of AEI, please reply to this. Please also feel free to forward this email to anyone you think who be equally interested.

Thank you for your time and we hope to hear from you soon.
