About AEI & Fixtures

AEI (RUGBY) RFC

#AEI (Rugby) RFC are a social Rugby club who enjoy and play a competitive game of Rugby.  We train most weeks on a Wednesday at GEC Park, Hillmorton 18.45-20.00 and in the winter months, we use the floodlights at a local sports club.  We are always looking for new players. If you are 17+ and want a game, whatever your experience, please get in touch, not a problem if you can’t commit to every week, come and join us – you might just like it!   Please contact or find our Facebook Group AEI (Rugby) RFC

AEI (Rugby) RFC like to play a good game of Rugby but look forward to the social aspect of Rugby playing bar games, singing, watching rugby on the big screen with our team mates, and reminiscing on times gone by.  Most months we have a ‘#AEIGathering’ to encourage supporters and players past and present to remain involved in the club, check our Facebook page and/or fixtures list for our next #AEIGathering.  We also gather for most Rugby Internationals to support our nation of choice.

This years last game of the season is a special and one we want everyone to join AEI RFC in celebrating the lives of two very special AEI family members that are no longer with us Ian ‘Cocky’ Cockerill and Amanda Shallcross.   An opportunity for anyone of any age, ability or member of an associate club that wants a game to get on the pitch and celebrate with us.  Dust off those boots, buy some new ones if you need to and bring the family for a great afternoon.

  • 14.30 KO – AEI RFC vs Rugby Lionesses (Touch)

As it is AEI last game of the season FANCY DRESS is mandatory (theme – anything goes!) anyone not in fancy dress will be fined in aid of a good cause.  There will be a raffle (any donations welcome) and it is very likely that Ping Pong Ping, and Bagatelle will make an appearance.

All proceeds from the day will be split between Air Ambulance and Bowel Cancer, our two VIP’s chosen charities.

Everyone really is welcome, and really is one to bring the family to.

Please let us know if you want to play and/or will be joining us for the BBQ after the game so we can get an idea of numbers to cater for.  Email Andrew Clark – Hon Secretary

Calling all AEI (RUGBY) RFC ‘Old Boys’

VICE PRESIDENTS ANNOUNCEMENT

Having enjoyed a very successful Centenary Dinner where many distinguished ex-players had the opportunity to mingle with ex-teamates as well as the current crop of players, the AEI would like to invite you to consider becoming a vice-president of the AEI.

The position would require a small annual fee to the club for the privilege of being a vice-president which would enable the club to continue to thrive and hopefully expand in the future. We would also like to instigate a Vice-Presidents Day in the same vein as other clubs, one where players past and present can swap stories and anecdotes as well as providing the opportunity of passing on your accumulated wisdom.

At present we are looking to see if there is the level of interest out there, so if you would like to be one of the first vice-presidents of AEI, please let us know.   Please also feel free to forward this invite to anyone you think who be equally interested.

Thank you for your time and we hope to hear from you soon.
