In very forgettable clash AEI  pulled off yet another win. Kettering opened the scoring with a penalty given on the ten meter line was marched back to the twenty two. Kettering easily slotted this and it served as a lesson for AEI discipline. AEI had a chance ten minutes later with their own however Dave Williams kick dropped short of the posts. Both teams were exceptionally strong in defence and neither team were able to break through until AEI’s Nathan Yeung managed to break free of a tackle and after dash fifty meters down the field to go under the posts. Dave Williams converted for the final score of the game. AEI 7 Kettering 3. Jolly Abbott Man of the Match went to full back Richard Pinks who said, “ I think everyone had their Christmas parties last night including the opposition, nothing gelled out there today and I had to scramble back a quite a few time to recover”
